FeatherTop: The here and now of the “farm to table” movement, right here in Charleston, South Carolina.…
Why? Because forget all the wordy gurdy food descriptions. All you need to know is that they serve fresh, delicious local food that speaks for itself….
Housed in the former train depot downtown at 23 Ann St,. downtown Charleston, Chef Damon Wise and Jonathan Buckley’s new FeatherTop restaurant debuted it’s spectacular lunch offerings this past Monday and Charleston Inside Out Magazine was on hand to sample some of the awesome farm to table fare….
So when you go, and you should go immediately…remember these three words…PUMPKIN SEED ROMESCO… This Spanish influenced sauce just about blew our minds! OMG! if you’ve never tried it, drop everything and head over to FeatherTop for lunch today and order the Shaved Spring Vegetables. It’s served over this amazing Pumpkin Seed Romesco, which happens to be the most delicious thing we’ve ever tasted…ever!
Well… that and FeatherTop’s Heirloom Tomato Salad with fresh ricotta, basil and lavender granola… can you say ‘oh-so-summer-fresh’?
We also thoroughly enjoyed their Sweet Potato Cucino….big light fluffy pillows of pasta filled with fresh sweet potato puree..
And like we always say…if a restaurant has a good handle on their desserts…which FeatherTop most certainly does when it comes to our favorite, a fresh, homemade panna cotta…
Well then, all you need to seal the deal is a serious cup of coffee and perhaps one of FeatherTop’s homemade benne wafers….
Welcome to the Lowcountry fold, FeatherTop! Insiders know you’ll be making a lot of people happy this summer with your fresh fare and friendly service!
