Park Circle’s The Barbeque Joint: Patriotism Never Tasted So Good

All-American food on an all-American weekend!

Barbeque. It’s about as red, white and blue all-American as any cuisine can get, and with the 4th of July just around the corner, we found ourselves in the mood for a good ol’ all-American pulled pork sandwich….This little hankering led us to the Olde Village in Park Circle…all because an insider told us about The Barbeque Joint over there…

What can we say?  Wow! Seriously….If you haven’t yet been to The Barbeque Joint in the Olde Village in Park Circle on Montague, you are missing out on some real no fuss- distinctly American treats…

Notice there’s a little side of smoked brisket on this plate as well. That’s because the nice guy at the counter insisted we try a sample…

thanks for that brisket was ah-mazing!

thanks nice guy at the counter for that brisket sample…it was ah-mazing!

They have cool picnic style tables with both indoor and outdoor seating….

When the guy at the counter suggested we try the bean cake for dessert…we weren’t too sure because, well…. beans and cake in the same sentence, really? But…

Between the all-American pulled pork sandwich, the delicious side of  mac’n’cheese  and the rather toothsome baked beans layer cake…Patriotism never tasted good…:-)  (By the way, did you know these guys  also cater?)

Have a safe and happy 4th y’all!
